New York man removed from PDX flight after 30 pounds of marijuana found in luggage
At Portland International Airport, TSA screeners found about 30 pounds of marijuana in a checked bag labeled Primus/Zachar destined for JFK, prompting Alaska Airlines Flight AS18 to be halted and the passenger, Zachariah Hillary Primus, 38, of Carmel, NY, to be pulled off. He was arraigned on three felony charges (illegal import/export of marijuana, unlawful delivery of a marijuana item, unlawful possession of marijuana) and released on his own recognizance; prosecutors say he possessed more than 256 ounces of usable marijuana.
