PDX pot bust uncovers 30 pounds of marijuana, suspect to face court
Portland International Airport police say TSA flagged eight pounds of marijuana in a checked bag belonging to Jihad Ibrahim Muhammed, 25, of North Carolina, on United Flight 1820 to Newark. Investigators then recovered about 31 more pounds in a backpack, plus over $5,000 in cash. Muhammed faces charges including illegal import/export of marijuana, unlawful delivery, and unlawful possession, with arraignment set for Monday in Multnomah County.
