Eames Institute Unveils $36M Novato Museum Plan Backed by Joe Gebbia
The Eames Institute of Infinite Curiosity has submitted a master plan to the city of Novato to convert a former Birkenstock warehouse into a 185,000-square-foot art and design museum. The project, led by architect Herzog & de Meuron, aims to open in 2030 and is backed by Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia, though the organization faces scrutiny over his recent political appointments and social media activity.
