Acura will participate in the One Lap of America endurance race with a nearly-stock NSX Type S and a custom trailer made from the remains of another NSX. The trailer features wide barn doors, lightweight HRE wheels, and Falken tires. An Acura NSX Type S with a matching trailer will compete in this year's One Lap of America, along with a TLX Type S, both part of the Honda of America Racing Team. The NSX Type S is essentially stock, with lightweight HRE wheels and Falken tires, while the trailer was fabricated from an early test mule. The TLX Type S wears the wrap from the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach pace car and has parts from the Acura Genuine Accessories catalog. The eight-day race will cover 3,200 miles across 15 states, with the Honda team racing in support of Victory Center, an Ohio-based organization that aids cancer patients, survivors, and their families.
