A 57-year-old Brooklyn man, Yaw Boahene, died on Monday evening after his shopping bag became trapped in the doors of a departing A train at the Utica Avenue station. The train dragged him onto the tracks, where he was struck by a pole. Police are investigating the incident as an accident, with no criminality suspected.
