YouTuber and former Olympic snowboarder Trevor Jacob pleaded guilty to obstructing a federal investigation by intentionally crashing his plane in Santa Barbara County to gain online views and then destroying the wreckage to cover up the crime. Jacob's pilot's license was revoked by the FAA, and he faces up to 20 years imprisonment for the felony charge. The incident took place in November 2021 and was recorded for a YouTube video titled "I Crashed My Airplane," which drew nearly 3 million views.
