Setback for Big Bear Bald Eagle Jackie in Anemia Treatment
Big Bear's bald eagle Jackie has taken a turn for the worse in her anemia treatment, with bloodwork showing a packed cell volume of 13%. The Ojai Raptor Center’s veterinary team has moved quickly to pursue advanced diagnostic tests to determine the next steps, following a life-saving transfusion from Spirit, a donor eagle at CALM Zoo, earlier in her care.
