Quantrill Exit Clouds Rangers’ Push; Correa Eyes 2027 Return, Walcott to Triple-A, Okert Out, Schanuel Rehab Setback
Rangers right-hander Cal Quantrill exited with right lat tightness after a sharp velocity drop (87.8 mph), a blow to Texas’ rotation as they chase a Wild Card. Astros infielder Carlos Correa said he’s targeting a 2027 return after ankle surgery ended his attempt this year. Rangers prospect Sebastian Walcott will move up to Triple-A after an impressive Double-A season. Astros left-hander Steven Okert isn’t expected back this season as he recovers from a hamstring injury, while Angels slugger Nolan Schanuel suffered a rehab setback from an intercostal strain and likely won’t play again this year.
