Jets place rookie WR Omar Cooper on IR, four-game minimum
The Jets are placing rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper on injured reserve with an ankle injury, meaning he will miss at least four games after suffering the injury in last Sunday's win over the Titans. The move comes ahead of Sunday’s game vs Packers, and the Jets signed veteran Sterling Shepard to the practice squad, who could join Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell, Isaiah Williams, and Arian Smith as targets while Cooper is out.
