Boulder Police Arrest 18-Year-Old in Fatal Halloween Shooting at CU House Party
Boulder police arrested 18-year-old Omar Perez on Monday for the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old University of Colorado Boulder student on Halloween night. Perez faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and first-degree assault. The shooting occurred at a home in the 700 block of Marine Street after police shut down a large party earlier that evening. A second victim remains in critical condition. Authorities identified Perez as the sole shooter, though they continue to seek information from other party attendees.
