The Legend of Zelda series will likely continue with more open-world games following the success of Breath of the Wild, according to series producer Eiji Aonuma. Breath of the Wild's open-world format was a critical and commercial success for Nintendo, and Tears of the Kingdom appears to be following in those footsteps.
