Massachusetts Enables 3 a.m. Last Calls and Public Drinking Zones This Summer
Massachusetts lawmakers signed a temporary bill allowing towns to create designated public drinking zones and extend alcohol service to 3 a.m. this summer, with local opt-in and a sunset at the end of July. Gov. Healey says the measure will support celebrations around the World Cup and other events, and the bill includes a required study on its effects. The package also notes Clover restaurant reopenings and a program to provide World Cup tickets to local kids.
