Jewish Artists Rally Behind Ruffalo as Merger Controversy Intensifies
Dozens of Jewish artists, including filmmakers and rabbis, defend Mark Ruffalo after Paramount-Skydance branded his criticisms of Oracle’s tech ties to Israel as antisemitic tropes. Ruffalo remains a leading voice against the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger, which is stalled by an antitrust lawsuit from California and other states. An open letter signed by more than 150 filmmakers, academics and others argues that criticizing Gaza-related policies and corporate involvement in the conflict is not antisemitic and warns that the merger would devastate livelihoods and media diversity.
