Stolen Church Organ Pipes Recovered in Memphis and Raleigh.
A Penske truck containing nearly 2,000 organ pipes stolen from Calvary Episcopal Church in Memphis was recovered by police, but 15 of the 55 crates loaded on the truck are still missing. The pipes were being restored by Spencer Organ Company and had little to no street value but would have cost the church close to a million dollars to replace. The missing pipes can be recreated due to their exact measurements being recorded before being packed. The restoration is expected to take 18 months.
