OneTaste founder sentenced to nine years for forced-labor scheme
Nicole Daedone, co-founder of OneTaste, was sentenced to nine years in federal prison and ordered to forfeit $12 million tied to the company's sale, after prosecutors described a yearslong forced-labor scheme that used economic pressure, psychological manipulation and coercive sexual acts to control followers, many of whom were trauma survivors; OneTaste has since been reorganized as the Institute of OM Foundation.
