Google rolls out Android 17 QPR2 Beta 4 to Pixel devices (Pixel 6a to Pixel 10a) starting Aug 28, 2026, with Pixel 11 series and Pixel 6/6 Pro not yet supported. The beta is available via the Android Beta Program or OTA images and fixes 16+ issues, including gesture/navigation glitches, overheating, screen mirroring problems, and a new security restriction on programmatic call forwarding.
Google has temporarily disabled downloads for OTA images of Android 15 DP1 due to an issue causing devices to display a "Device is corrupted" message after sideloading. The company recommends flashing a factory image instead. This move comes in response to reported problems, and until further troubleshooting is done, flashing a factory image is the only available option. Android 15 DP1 does not have many user-facing changes, making it advisable for non-app developers to wait for Beta 1 in April or Beta 3 for a safer installation on a daily driver.
