
Tooro Kingdom Mourns as Africa’s Youngest Monarch Dies at 34
Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the Omukama of Tooro and longtime bearer of the title of the world’s youngest king, has died at 34 after an undisclosed illness. Coronated in 1995 at age three, he ruled with regents until reaching adulthood and leaves behind an heir whose identity will be revealed later, marking a historic moment for Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom.
