Nyquist colt Knightsbridge stormed the GI Pacific Classic at Del Mar, blazing fractions of :22.68 and :45.45 before pulling away to win by 6 1/4 lengths in 2:01.79 for 1 1/4 miles, with Original Sin 2nd and Full Serrano 3rd. Jockey Junior Alvarado guided the 5-year-old for Godolphin and trainer Bill Mott; Knightsbridge becomes Nyquist's 12th G1 winner and the victory also secures a Breeders' Cup Classic berth via the race's Win and You're In designation.
