Human remains found near Palomar Mountain not linked to missing Oceanside mother
Human remains were found in an embankment near Palomar Mountain State Park by a volunteer search-and-rescue team. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department says the investigation will be led by the Homicide Unit and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. There is no known threat to the community at this stage, and officials say the remains are not believed to be connected to the disappearance of Oceanside resident Angelica Brophy.
