Elevance Health has announced an agreement to acquire Paragon Healthcare, a provider of infusion services and specialty pharmacy. This acquisition aims to enhance Elevance Health's capabilities in providing accessible specialty medications and comprehensive care for chronic and complex conditions. Paragon will become part of CarelonRx within Elevance Health's health services division, Carelon, post-acquisition. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2024 and is not anticipated to materially impact Elevance Health's adjusted earnings per share for that year.
