More than 100 parents protested against a Pride Day assembly at a North Hollywood elementary school, leading to a tense scene with counterprotesters and police. The group behind the protest, called Saticoy Elementary Parents, claimed they weren't against LGBTQ+ people but urged other parents to keep their children home that day.
