Jay-Z received a payment of $7.2 million from Parlux Fragrances, finally ending a 7-year-long legal battle over a lawsuit filed in 2016 claiming he had not fulfilled promotional obligations for the cologne Gold Jay-Z. The payment comes after Parlux lost an appeal and was ordered to pay the court-ordered amount of $6.8 million plus interest. Despite the large sum, it is a small fraction of Jay-Z's net worth, which has quadrupled since the lawsuit was filed.
