Pilot indicted for threatening to shoot captain during flight
A pilot, Jonathan J. Dunn, has been indicted and charged with interference with a flight crew after allegedly threatening to shoot the captain if they diverted the flight for a passenger medical event. The incident occurred in August 2022, and Dunn, who was the crew's first officer, used a dangerous weapon to assault and intimidate a crew member. The pilot, who was authorized to carry a gun on board through the Federal Flight Deck Officer program, has been removed from the program. The Office of Inspector General, FBI, and FAA are conducting an investigation into the incident.
