Russian Media Mogul Prigozhin's Empire Crumbles Amidst Hacking Scandal
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner mercenary group, has reportedly closed down his media holding, Patriot Media Group, which includes the notorious Internet Research Agency. All media outlets under Patriot's umbrella will be permanently shut down. The closure comes after police raided Patriot's headquarters and access to Prigozhin's news outlets was blocked by the state information watchdog. There are rumors that the media outlets may be sold to the National Media Group, founded by a close ally of President Putin. Prigozhin has not confirmed or denied the reports.
