Keychron’s Thunderbolt 5 Dock Offers High-End Connectivity at a Competitive Price
Keychron has entered the high-end docking market with a Thunderbolt 5 device that prioritizes comprehensive connectivity and build quality over niche features. Priced at $350, the dock offers 80Gbps data transfer, 140W power delivery, and dual 8K monitor support via Thunderbolt, alongside dual 4K HDMI outputs. While it lacks an internal SSD bay and DisplayPort, its silent operation, robust aluminum design, and reliable media I/O make it a strong contender for creative professionals. Engadget rated it 8.3/10, noting that while rivals like CalDigit and Razer offer similar specs at higher prices, Keychron’s inclusion of dual HDMI ports provides a distinct advantage for multi-display setups without sacrificing Thunderbolt bandwidth.
