Italy's Air Transport Strike Causes Massive Flight Cancellations
Hundreds of flights across Italy have been cancelled due to an air transport strike, causing chaos for travelers during the peak tourist season. The strike, organized by air transport unions, comes just two days after a train strike disrupted rail services. National carrier ITA and low-cost airlines Ryanair and Vueling have all cancelled numerous flights. The unions called the strike over contract disagreements with Malta Air, which operates Ryanair flights.
