Wheel of Fortune’s Jim Thornton Faces Plane-Chat Allegations Amid Suspension
After a May flight, reports emerged that Wheel of Fortune announcer Jim Thornton was in a pedophile chat room on a plane, based on a fellow passenger’s photos. Thornton’s lawyer says the chat room wasn’t unlawful and he never viewed child pornography; law enforcement briefly investigated and found no wrongdoing, and he has not been charged. Sony Pictures Television suspended him and Wheel of Fortune is recasting while the investigation continues.
