French pension protests continue to escalate with widespread demonstrations and clashes.
Hundreds of thousands of people protested across France against Emmanuel Macron's plan to raise the minimum pension age from 62 to 64. The protests come ahead of a ruling on the bill by the constitutional council on Friday. Police estimated that between 400,000 and 600,000 people took part in the nationwide protests on Thursday, less than half of the peak of nearly 1.3 million reached in March.
