Tragedy Strikes: Two NYU Students Killed in Puerto Rico Shooting
Two Peruvian students enrolled in NYU's Stern School of Business were killed in Puerto Rico while on vacation with a group to celebrate a birthday before finals. They were bystanders caught in an altercation between two unrelated groups when they were killed early Saturday morning. Puerto Rico police are investigating the incident and have shared video footage of a woman shooting from the sidewalk. NYU has offered support and aid to the remaining group members and the families of the slain students. A scholarship will be established in each of the victim's names.
