"Pharmacy Giant's Data Breach Exposes 6 Million Patients' Personal Information"
Hackers accessed the personal data of almost six million patients of PharMerica, one of the largest pharmacy service providers in the United States. The stolen data includes patients’ names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medication and health insurance information. The cyberattack was claimed by the Money Message ransomware gang, which published the stolen data on the dark web leak site. PharMerica is taking additional steps to reduce the likelihood of a similar event happening in the future. This is the largest breach of healthcare data so far this year.
