Eli Lilly's diabetes and weight loss drug tirzepatide has shown positive results in a Phase II study for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), with a greater proportion of patients experiencing no MASH and no worsening of liver scarring at all doses compared to the placebo group. The drug demonstrated success rates of 51.8% at 5 mg, 63.1% at 10 mg, and 73.9% at 15 mg, highlighting its potential in treating fatty liver disease.
