Brooks' IR move reshapes Packers' backfield ahead of Bears clash
The Green Bay Packers placed running back Chris Brooks on injured reserve on Saturday, Oct. 10, following an ankle injury sustained during their Week 4 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brooks, who led the team in rushing snaps and had a 4.7-yard average, will miss at least four games and is eligible to return in Week 9 against the New England Patriots. The team has already backfilled the roster spot with Pierre Strong Jr., who was elevated from the practice squad on Oct. 8. The current running back rotation now consists of Strong, MarShawn Lloyd, and Kaleb Johnson, pending the resolution of Josh Jacobs' status on the commissioner's exempt list.
