Postpartum signs revealed a brain tumor and paved the way to a second child
A woman’s lingering postpartum symptoms led to a diagnosis of a benign prolactin-secreting pituitary tumor (prolactinoma). Initial medication failed to shrink the tumor and caused side effects, with rising prolactin and fertility concerns. She underwent a minimally invasive nasal-surgery to remove the tumor, which normalized prolactin levels and briefly restored fertility, followed by a first post-surgery period. Weeks later she learned she was pregnant again, and in February 2026 she welcomed a second daughter. She continues with regular endocrine monitoring and MRI scans to ensure ongoing health and hormone stability.
