Outer Worlds Free Upgrade Gets Reworked by Console Entitlements
Obsidian’s Spacer’s Choice Edition upgrade, originally promised as a free upgrade for base The Outer Worlds buyers, is being restricted on Xbox One and PS4 due to console entitlement limits. Digital owners must now own the base game plus both DLCs (Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos) to qualify for the upgrade; PC owners still get the upgrade if they own the delisted base game. Obsidian urged affected players (including those who bought between 4/30 and 5/27) to contact support, and is exploring upgrade paths for physical copies, with the Spacer’s Choice Edition also added to Xbox Game Pass.
