Capitology, LLC is recalling approximately 4,679 pounds of pork chicharrones products imported from Honduras, a country ineligible to export pork to the United States. The products, which were distributed to retail locations in Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas, do not bear an establishment number or USDA mark of inspection. There have been no reports of adverse reactions, but consumers are advised not to consume the products and to either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is conducting recall effectiveness checks, and a contact number is provided for further inquiries.
