Trump awards military and Olympic heroes during State of the Union

Sarah Beckstrom; Olympic hockey goalie Connor Hellebuyck received the Presidential Medal of Freedom; Navy Capt. E. Royce Williams, aged 100, was awarded the Medal of Honor for a long-secret 1952 Korean War air engagement; Chief Warrant Officer Eric Slover received the Medal of Honor for the Maduro operation in Venezuela; Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Scott Ruskan earned the Legion of Merit for rescuing dozens during July 2025 Texas floods.
