"CEOs' Growing Concerns: AI and Climate Threaten Business Survival"
According to a new survey by PwC, more CEOs are concerned about their companies' survival in the face of challenges from climate change and artificial intelligence, despite improved economic outlook. The survey of over 4,700 CEOs worldwide revealed that 45% of respondents worry that their businesses won't be viable in a decade without reinvention, up from 39% last year. CEOs see AI as both a way to streamline operations and a potential weakness, with concerns about cybersecurity risks and misinformation. Additionally, a growing number of CEOs recognize the impact of climate change on their businesses and are making efforts to increase energy efficiency, but progress on integrating climate risks into financial planning remains limited.
