Google is continuing work on its Pixel double-tap-to-lock feature, with Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 adding hints of a dedicated settings page and the possibility to turn off the display by double-tapping a free area on either the home or lock screen, though the gesture isn’t publicly available yet.
Google's Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 for eligible Pixel devices adds a Quick Settings layout editor to rearrange toggles and controls (including the brightness slider and media player), introduces new theming options with color hue and blur effects, and adds call-protection dialogs to deter social-engineering in call-forwarding scenarios.
Android 14 QPR2 Beta 3 is rolling out for Pixel devices, bringing new features such as expandable Bluetooth tile in Quick Settings and the introduction of Repair Mode. Users can now browse for Bluetooth devices from Quick Settings and access Repair Mode, which was previously unavailable in QPR2. Additionally, bug fixes and tweaks include the return of the 'Your Pixel is up to date' screen and adjustments to spacing between time and status bar icons.
