Kate Middleton's Elie Saab Gown Snags at Oman State Banquet, Drawing Social Media Attention
Princess Kate Middleton's butter-yellow Elie Saab gown became trapped under her chair leg during a state banquet at Windsor Castle for the Sultan of Oman on October 20, 2026. The mishap, noted by social media users, occurred as Kate sat for a three-course dinner hosted by King Charles III. Despite the incident, Kate appeared unfazed and later stood without visible damage to the dress. The event marked the first Omani state visit to the UK in over 40 years, with Kate wearing historic royal jewels, including Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara, previously favored by Princess Diana.
