Raven prototype hints at Microsoft's shelved Surface Phone from 2014
A 2013–2014 Windows Phone prototype, possibly codenamed Raven, has surfaced in new photos showing a pocketable Surface‑like device running an early Windows Phone 8.1 build. The handset appears to have a 720p display, metal chassis, back Microsoft logo, dedicated hardware keys, SIM and micro‑USB ports, and development was likely paused after Microsoft’s 2014 Nokia acquisition. It hints at what could have been a Surface Phone long before the Surface Duo arrived years later.
