Lynch: Brandon Aiyuk Is On Left Squad, Not On the 49ers' Roster (For Now)
49ers GM John Lynch reaffirmed that Brandon Aiyuk remains on the reserve/left squad list and is not on San Francisco's 90-man roster. Aiyuk hasn’t filed for reinstatement, which would let the team release him if approved, and he has publicly expressed interest in joining Washington. With a Week 6 matchup vs. the Commanders looming, the 49ers are moving forward with a retooled WR room that includes Evans, Kirk, and rookie De’Zhaun Stribling while Aiyuk’s status remains unresolved.
