Mario Kart World Revives SNES Tracks in Free 1.8 Update
Mario Kart World is releasing a free 1.8.0 update that adds ten SNES-era tracks (including Choco Island, Mario Circuit, and Ghost Valley) as playable courses in Versus mode. Previously hidden in the open world as exploration rewards and timed P-Switch missions, the tracks now function as actual race courses and include ground-level question blocks, echoing the original Super Mario Kart. The patch also adds two new routes to the Knockout Tour, an elimination-style mode, marking the first time new tracks have been added to the game. The update is arriving today following a Nintendo Direct announcement.
