Hall of Fame NBA coach Rick Adelman passes away at 79
Rick Adelman, a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee who coached in the NBA for nearly three decades and won 1,042 games—10th-most in league history—has died at 79. A former point guard who played seven NBA seasons, Adelman led the Portland Trail Blazers to two NBA Finals appearances and also coached in Sacramento, Houston, Minnesota and Golden State, leaving a legacy of innovation and leadership praised by players, teams and peers.
