Montréal Road Worlds Preview: Five Stars Lead a Deep Field for Rainbow Jersey
The elite men’s road race at the 2026 Road World Championships in Montréal features a star-studded start list led by Wout van Aert, Remco Evenepoel, Mathieu van der Poel, Isaac del Toro and Paul Seixas, with Tadej Pogačar out injured. Belgium and other traditional powerhouses sit front of the peloton, while the United States brings a deep squad around Quinn Simmons, Brandon McNulty and Matteo Jorgenson that could disrupt the favorites and contend for the rainbow jersey in the 273km race on Sept. 27.
