Robin Nest on Tire Delays Kansas Ford Sale Under Federal Bird Protections
A Kansas Ford dealer cannot release a sold Ford F-250 because a robin built a nest on a tire, and active nests are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. The dealership publicly explained the delay, credited a wildlife group for guidance, and even named the hatchlings (Lugnut, Turbo, Diesel and Axel) while the birds remain, delaying the vehicle’s transfer until they leave the nest.
