Ford Mustang RTR Adds Drift Focus to Base EcoBoost
Ford has launched the 2026 Mustang RTR, a new package for the base EcoBoost model developed with drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. The $6,520 add-on includes a physical handbrake, relaxed stability controls, and a 3.55 Torsen limited-slip differential. While the 315-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine remains unchanged, the package adds a unique anti-lag system and wider wheels to improve drifting capability. Critics note the interior remains basic and the automatic-only transmission is a drawback, but reviewers agree it is the most engaging EcoBoost Mustang yet.
