Rush Resurrected: Fifty-Something Tour with Anika Nilles

Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson reunite for the Fifty Something tour with Anika Nilles, their first onstage Rush run since Neil Peart’s death; after months of rehearsal they memorized over 40 songs and four rotating setlists, navigated Peart’s absence by integrating Nilles while keeping his parts; Lee took vocal lessons to hit the high notes again, Lifeson shed weight and quit cannabis to stay sharp, and Nilles—discovered via Lifeson’s circle after Beck’s tour—learned to play Peart’s complex parts while adding her own touch. The tour’s opening shows blend tribute with celebration, and fans warmly welcomed the unlikely revival.

Rush Reschedules Fort Worth Concerts as Geddy Lee Battles Laryngitis and Bronchitis

Rush postponed two Fort Worth shows at Dickies Arena after Geddy Lee was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. The June 20 and July 2 performances have been moved to July 11 and July 13, with tickets honored for the new dates and refunds available for those unable to attend. Lee was advised to rest, and guitarist Alex Lifeson said he could barely speak at soundcheck, underscoring the band’s commitment to delivering a top performance; this marks the second postponement in the run after earlier travel and border delays affected a prior show.

Rush Night Three: Moving Pictures Takes Center Stage, Surviving a 2112 Setback

Rush’s Night Three on the Fifty Something Tour in LA delivered a full Moving Pictures performance, including a rare Camera Eye arrangement; the night featured the first New World Man since 2002, Aimee Mann’s return for Time Stand Still, and a dramatic 2112 moment when Geddy Lee’s bass cut out—quickly rectified as Lifeson and Nilles kept the groove going and Lee returned with a replacement bass. Anika Nilles impressed on drums, Lifeson was more energized onstage, and Lee’s vocals sounded stronger thanks to coaching, making the setlist of staples (Xanadu, Tom Sawyer, YYZ, Dreamline, Red Sector A, etc.) land with renewed vigor.

Ex-CIA official accused after $40 million gold stash found at home

A former senior CIA employee, David Rush, was arrested after a CIA–FBI probe alleged he embezzled government valuables, with investigators later uncovering about 303 gold bars worth more than $40 million, roughly $2 million in cash, and 35 luxury watches at his Virginia home. The affidavit says Rush sought foreign currency and tens of millions in gold bars for work-related expenses from 2025–2026, while falsely claiming military credentials and degrees. The CIA could not locate the gold, currency, or disposition records, and Rush awaits a detention hearing in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia as the case proceeds.
