Witcher 3 expansion omits Russian voices, remaster arrives, Witcher 4 delayed to 2028
CD Projekt Red said The Witcher 3’s upcoming expansion Songs of the Past will drop Russian voice acting and switch to Polish at launch, with Russian subtitles/text still available; the move follows its decision to cease cooperation with tax residents of Russia and Belarus since March 2022 after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, though the base game and older expansions keep Russian VO. A remastered Witcher 3 is due September 29 as a free upgrade, and Witcher 4’s release has been pushed to 2028, triggering a ~6% drop in the company’s shares.
