Florida GOP primary shocks: Mills ousted amid ethics and finance probes
Republican Rep. Cory Mills lost Florida’s 7th District GOP primary to Ryan Elijah amid House Ethics Committee and Department of Justice investigations into his finances and conduct; Mills denied wrongdoing and had Trump’s endorsement, but Elijah benefited from endorsements from Florida Republicans and outspent him. With about 80% of votes counted, Elijah led 46% to Mills’s 34%.
