Predators triumph over Bruins with shooting victims in their hearts.
The Nashville Predators beat the Boston Bruins 2-1 in a game that saw both teams pay tribute to the victims of a fatal school shooting in Nashville. Predators defenseman Ryan McDonagh missed the team flight to be with his young daughters in the shaken community. McDonagh caught a commercial flight and helped the Predators win the game. Both teams wore helmet stickers to remember the victims, and the Bruins held a moment of silence before the national anthem. The Predators are trying to make a run at the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
